Theodore Ushev, The Matter of Memory

La Cinémathèque québécoise is proud to present a major exhibition of the work of Theodore Ushev, in partnership with the Musée-Château d’Annecy. From May 3 to September 22, immerse yourself in the captivating world of one of the most influential animators of the last 25 years and discover his unique style with over 200 original works, posters, several films, unique and astonishing objects and a monumental installation.

The Sommets du cinéma d'animation are pleased to announce the opening film of their 22nd edition ! French-Iranian director Sepideh Farsi's THE SIREN, selected for the 2023 Berlinale, will launch the festivities on Monday, May 6. The filmmaker will be present for the event.

This graphically stunning film is a captivating, spirited work bringing to life a defining moment in the Iran-Iraq conflict while depicting the destinies of extraordinary characters.
