Programming proposals

The Cinémathèque québécoise receives proposals for residencies, film series and exhibitions twice a year: from September 15 to 30 and from March 16 to 31. We respond to proposals received at the end of the following month.
Proposals must include the following information:
- Project description including argument for its originality (one page max.);
- Artistic approach (one page max.);
- CVs for all artists, programmers and/or curators involved;
- List of selected or planned works;
- Preliminary budget;
- Desired dates for the residency, program or exhibition;
- Expected contribution from the Cinémathèque québécoise;
- Detailed technical requirements;
- Supporting materials (press clippings, photos, video clips, etc.);
- Partners and prospective partners.
Only applications with supporting materials will be considered (visuals, video links, etc.).
The entire application must be delivered as a single PDF.
Applications are not to exceed 15 pages (11-point type).
Please note that exhibitions are currently planned two years in advance. Programming proposals require one year of lead time.
