From one year to the next, the Cinémathèque québécoise takes the pulse of recent and current French cinema, in partnership with the Institut français, in order to follow the evolution of an increasingly diversified French production.
It’s summer, the heat is overwhelming and the weather is out of whack. A group of friends are enjoying their yearly holiday in their favorite little village, wedged between the sea and the mountains. As usual, they are bored and eat and drink a lot. They do not pay attention to the fire which progresses on the mountain nearby, nor to the world around them. But this year, a mysterious man arrives from the sea and shakes up their seemingly balanced existence...
Matthieu Rozé
Matthieu Rozé is a French actor, director and screenwriter. He was noticed by Claude Pinoteau who offered him the role of Michel Fournier in La Neige et le Feu alongside Geraldine Pailhas and Vincent Pérez, which is one of his greatest film roles. He received the short film award at the tenth edition of the International Comedy Film Festival of Alpe d'Huez in 2007 with his short film Le petit poucet.
