Duo Membership
Being a member of the Cinémathèque québécoise is great, but seeing films together is even better!
With our Duo subscription, you'll enjoy all the privileges of our membership, plus the possibility of inviting your favorite cinema buff to the screenings of your choice, for only $250 per year1.
Student subscription
If you're a student, you can join the Cinémathèque québécoise for $109. Your subscription is valid for one (1) year and gives you unlimited access to our regular programming, a 15% discount at our boutique applicable to our publications, as well as invitations to certain events! You will need to present a valid student card to confirm your subscription in person at our box office.
Please note that student subscription does not give you access to member privileges.
Corporate Member
Institutional memberships cost $500/year. The card is not personalized. Any organization, association or establishment is eligible. Organizational members must designate an individual to represent the organization at the Cinémathèque québécoise’s annual general meeting. This membership provides admission to our regular programming plus the privileges and discounts described below.
Our members can enjoy the following benefits
- An unlimited access to our regular programming (excluding new releases);
- A preferential rate on the Cinémathèque's Centre d'art et essai programming (new releases);
- The voting rights at the Annual General Meeting;
- The right to run for election to the Board of Directors;
- Invitations to certain VIP events;
- A 15% discount at our boutique on Cinémathèque québécoise publications;
- A 10% discount on space rental;
- A preferential rate for access to certain elements of the collections;
- The possibility of admitting two (2) children for free with your card (16 and under);
- A 15% discount on admission to the McCord Museum;
- A 15% discount on admission to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts;
- A 15% discount on admission to the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal;
- A 15% discount on admission to the Pointe-à-Callière Museum;
- A $2 discount on admission to the Écomusée du fier monde
- A 15% discount on tickets of the 2024-2025 season program of the Orchestre métropolitain;
- A 15% discount on tickets of the 2024-2025 season program of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, including the cine-concerts;
- A 10% discount on tickets of the 2024-2025 season program at Duceppe;
- A 15% discount on the regular programming at Usine C.
- A 15% discount on a subscription to ESPACE art actuel magazine
The Student subscription does not give access to membership benefits.
The student subscription gives you access to the following benefits
- Unlimited access to our regular programming for one (1) year (excluding new releases);
- A preferential rate on the Cinémathèque's Centre d'art et essai programming (new releases);
- A 15% discount at our boutique on Cinémathèque québécoise publications;
- Invitations to certain VIP events.
Your subscription supports the Cinémathèque québécoise in its mission to preserve Quebec and Canadian cinema, as well as international animated film, and to promote cinematographic art in all its forms.
Please note that all subscriptions are non-refundable.
1 The Duo membership card is nominative and non-transferable. The membership is valid only for the person registered. Please note that the Duo card cannot be used without the presence of the registered member.
Identification may be requested at any time when using your membership or student subscription card. Misuse may result in cancellation of your subscription without notice.
Please note that latecomers will not be admitted after the start of the screening.
