To mark Canada Day, three films detailing three milestones in documentary history: production at Associated Screen News, whose films have been produced since the silent era and were often publicly funded; the emergence of Crawley Films, for many years the largest private film company in English Canada; and the development and flourishing of the documentary genre at the National Film Board of Canada.
