Chronicle of a City

Nadine Gomez

A graduate of UQAM with a master’s degree in Communication, Nadine Gomez has been focusing on documentary filmmaking for nearly 15 years. She released her first film, Le Horse Palace at RIDM in 2012, then the short film Metro in 2015 made possible through the “Regards sur Montréal” grant, of which she was the very first recipient. Exarcheia: The Chanting of Birds, her second feature film shot in Athens, Greece, was released in 2018 (RIDM, Thessaloniki DFF), followed in 2019 by the podcast J’aime Hydro, a production by Porte Parole that she co-directed. In 2023, she was part of the TIFF Filmmaker Lab cohort with her first fiction project, Creatures of Chance, a loose adaptation of the eponymous book by Lula Carballo, which will be released in 2026. Alongside the launch of this third feature film, Chronicle of a City, Nadine is working on her next documentary entitled Cancún.
