Confessions of Thomas Mann, Confidence Man
Once a month, the Goethe-Institut collaborates with the Cinémathèque québécoise to present a significant work of contemporary German cinema: fiction films, documentaries, bold and entertaining productions by established and emerging filmmakers.
Thomas Mann worked on his novel Confessions of Felix Krull, Confidence Man for almost 50 years. In no other work did the writer include so many of his personal desires and fears. Confessions of Thomas Mann, Confidence Man takes a look behind the façade of the celebrated storyteller and, at the same time, into the dazzling world of his literary alter ego, Felix Krull.
