Claude Desrosiers
Claude Desrosiers is a Quebecois director. He initially worked as an actor for a few years before studying at New York University. Subsequently, he directed numerous documentaries, including Dansez maintenant!, Le chant de l’âme, Quand l’amour dérape, Haute fidélité, and Au cœur de la méditation, before shifting his focus to fiction. He notably directed the television film Traces d’étoiles, which earned him the Prix Gémeaux for Best Dramatic Show in 1999, followed by Délirium, a drama series broadcast on Télé-Québec. Since then, he has worked on various productions, including Tabou, Le rire de la mer, and Dans une galaxie près de chez vous, his first feature fiction film. He also directed several episodes for the series Vice caché and Les hauts et les bas de Sophie Paquin, for which he established a tone and style that remained evident throughout the entire production. His work earned him the Prix Gémeaux for Best Director - Comedy for three consecutive years (2007 to 2009). In 2012, he returned to the big screen with L’empire Bo$$é. More recently, he has worked on the series Fragile, Doute raisonnable, and Fragments.
