Gentle Monster
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

Marie Kreutzer
Marie Kreutzer is an Austrian filmmaker and screenwriter. She studied at Vienna Film Academy with Walter Wippersberg. One of Kreutzer's most notable films, Corsage (2022), focuses on themes of female rebellion in a historic setting, tackling contemporary female issues. Her films have been screened in film festivals around the world, including in Berlin, San Sebastián, Cannes, Toronto, and New York. Her latest film, Gentle Monster (2026), premiered in the main competition of the Cannes Film Festival.
