Grand Paris
From one year to the next, the Cinémathèque québécoise takes the pulse of recent and current French cinema, in partnership with the Institut français, in order to follow the evolution of an increasingly diversified French production.
Leslie and Renard, two young slackers from the Paris suburbs, find a mysterious object on a construction site belonging to the future Grand Paris metro line. Is it an artifact, an ancient talisman, or a relic of a lost civilization? Convinced they have found a pot of gold, the two friends investigate, using whatever means they have at their disposal, and despite the vagaries of transportation, throughout a crazy night spent traveling all over the Île-de-France area. The first feature film from a new talent in slapstick cinema, who manages to breathe poetry into places where it seems hardest to find.
