Synopsis

From the 1970s until his passing in 2025, English photographer Martin Parr has held a mirror to our times — sometimes tender, sometimes critical, always mischievous — forcing us to look lucidly at how consumer society has shaped our lives. Through an intimate journey into Martin Parr’s England, director Lee Shulman offers insight into the iconoclastic figure behind some of the most emblematic images of the last century. Through his uncompromising gaze, subjects, framing, and colors, Parr profoundly transformed contemporary photography. (FIFA)
