Synopsis

The film follows the journey by bus of three generations of the members of a group called Juventud Libre (Free Youth). Made up of people from many different backgrounds, this group once walked the "Che Route" through the Bolivian mountains to understand the sacrifice that Che and his companions had to make. Today, almost 20 years after their first experience, the group is about to return to their own footsteps and to those of the last months of Che's life, as portrayed in his diary. Together they search for what they call "the essence of Che". In parallel, we follow a group of young Bolivian anarchist muralists who use their art to pay homage to Comandante Guevara.
