Quentin Tarantino
Born in 1963 in Tennessee, Quentin Tarantino is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, actor, and writer. A fervent cinephile since a very young age, he gained international acclaim in the 1990s with his first two independant feature films, Reservoir Dogs (1992) and Pulp Fiction, which won the Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival. He also had commercial success internationally with Inglourious Basterds (2009), Django Unchained (2012) and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019), where he brilliantly crafts alternate history. In just ten films, his over-the-top direction, the incisive style of his dialogue, his taste for musical quotations, and his sense of homage (which has revitalized the careers of several actors and actresses) have earned him cult status among film lovers.
