For the magazine's twentieth anniversary this year, a series of screenings has been planned on the double bill principle, with the main focus on a selection of rarely-seen films. Other movies in the program are also important milestones in the development of the critics' dialogue within one of Quebec's most dynamic film magazines.
After his shot at a record deal falls through, Jun transfers to sleepy Nagoya and begins busking songs by his favourite 1970s glam rock band, Exne Kedy. Daisuke Miyazaki
Daisuke Miyazaki is a Japanese film director and screenwriter. He started making films when he was studying at Waseda University in Tokyo. In 2004, his thesis film The 10th Room won the Grand Prix Award at KUT Film Festival held by the New York University in Japan. His following film Love Will Tear Us Apart was invited to the special screening at the Image Forum Festival 2006, which is the largest experimental film festival in Japan. After attending Leos Carax's film Merde (2008) as a production designer assistant, he started working as an assistant director in the commercial film industry. Before making his own feature films, Miyazaki has worked for many directors who represent modern Japanese cinema such as Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Kunitoshi Manda.
