The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.
Sophie lands a job with a comic book publisher despite being unqualified for the position. However, her newfound security is threatened when she breaks up with her boyfriend, the father of the child she is carrying.
Nine Antico
Nine Antico, born in 1981, is a French illustrator, comic book author, screenwriter and film director. In 2013 she directed the short film Tonite, starring the actress Sophie-Marie Larrouy8. This film is adapted from one of her eponymous comic books. She wrote the screenplay of Il était 2 fois Arthur, served by the drawing of Grégoire Carlé and published in 2019, on the trajectories of Jack Johnson and Arthur Cravan. In 2020, she directed her first feature film, Playlist, a black and white comedy with Sara Forestier, released in 2021. She is also the author of the drawings of the heroine Raf in the film La fracture by Catherine Corsini.
