Riefenstahl
Once a month, the Goethe-Institut collaborates with the Cinémathèque québécoise to present a significant work of contemporary German cinema: fiction films, documentaries, bold and entertaining productions by established and emerging filmmakers.
Filmmaker and Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl is considered one of the most controversial women of the 20th century. Andres Veiel's mesmerizing documentary uses never-before-seen documents from her estate – including private films, photos, recordings and letters – to examine her legacy and its relevance to our modern times.
