S.S. Rajamouli
S.S. Rajamouli is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter. He mainly works in Telugu cinema and is known for his blockbuster action films. The director of twelve films, he is best known for Eega (2012), the duology Baahubali (2015-2017), and RRR (2022), which are among the biggest successes in Indian cinema history, both nationally and internationally; the second installment of Baahubali still holds the record with over 100 million tickets sold. RRR became a global phenomenon, in part thanks to its song Naatu Naatu, which won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song, a first for an Indian film.
