Synopsis

The Athlete introduces us to Stevens Dorcelus, a young Montrealer of Haitian origin determined to qualify for the Olympics and prove to his close-knit family that his dream is within reach. Equal parts a family saga, a sports film and an intimate portrait, this documentary offers a rare glimpse into Stevens' quest to make his mark.
