The Blue Trail
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

Gabriel Mascaro
Gabriel Mascaro is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. He is best known for his films Neon Bull (Venice, 2015), Divine Love (Sundance, Berlinale Panorama 2019) and August Winds (Locarno, 2014). His films have garnered over 50 international awards. In 2016, Mascaro had a retrospective at the Lincoln Center in New York. The Blue Trail, his latest film, premiered in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival 2025, where it won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize.
