Synopsis

André Castagnier designs boat prototypes for Louis-Philippe Fourchaume, the impetuous manager of a shipyard. When the launch of the model L'increvable turns into a fiasco, Fourchaume dismisses André, who doesn’t even have time to tell him that he won a race on another of his boats: Le petit baigneur.

The Little Bather
Great Louis de Funès: playing a short-tempered boss, he throws his legendary tantrums against the backdrop of a shipyard and idyllic riverbanks, giving the scenes a delightful touch of absurdity. He is surrounded by a hilarious cast in an ensemble film that’s just as zany as the watercraft featured in it, such as the leg-powered kayak.

Robert Dhéry

Robert Dhéry was a French comedian, actor, director and screenwriter. In 1948, along with his wife Colette Brosset, he founded the Branquignols troupe, which included Louis de Funès, Jean Lefebvre, Jean Carmet, Jacqueline Maillan, and Michel Serrault, among many others, for which he wrote most of the scripts. Some of their shows have been adapted for the big screen, often by Robert Dhéry himself.
