Two outcasts lead a happy existence near a swamp. When a murder occurs in the neighboring village, the superstitious villagers blame the two men, convinced that the swamp is home to evil spirits.

Kim Nguyen
Kim Nguyen is a Canadian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer best known for War Witch (Rebelle, 2012). The film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards and screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, where lead actress Rachel Mwanza won the Silver Bear for Best Acting. Nguyen’s other features include Two Lovers and a Bear (2016, Cannes); Eye on Juliet (2017, Venice International Film Festival); and The Hummingbird Project (2018, Toronto International Film Festival). Saigon Story is his latest feature documentary.
