The Piano Accident
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

A web star, famous for posting shocking content on social networks, decides to take a break after a mysterious piano incident while filming one of her videos. Isolated in a chalet mountain with her personal assistant, her retreat is interrupted by a journalist who begins to blackmail her.
Quentin Dupieux
Quentin Dupieux is a self-taught French filmmaker and musician. He made his first short films as a teenager, and one of them, Du côté de chez Cinane (1995), was acquired by Canal+. Since the channel had concerns about the rights to a song used in the film, he decided to replace it by "playing with rap instrumentals on a synthesizer". Thus was born his passion for electronic music, where he became known as Mr. Oizo. After working on music videos, commercials, and several short and medium-length films, he directed his first feature, Steak, in 2007. His second feature, Rubber (2010), about a murderous tire, marked a turning point in his filmmaking career. The film was selected for Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival. He is also known for Deerskin (2019), Smoking Causes Coughing (2022) and Yannick (2023).
