Synopsis

In the breathtaking mountain landscape of the Engadine, under a deep blue sky, a drama unfolded in the 1980s: in the wake of the Zurich youth movement, heroin also found its way to the Upper Engadine. The tragic fate of many young people still divides the local community. Under Blue Skies breaks the silence for the first time and initiates a process of reconciliation.

Ivo Zen

Ivo Zen is a Swiss documentarian. He graduated from the ESBA (École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Geneva), film and video department, in 2003. The following year, he founded the production company Alva Film, through which he directed his own films, including Under Blue Skies (2020). Since 2008, he is a lecturer for documentary film at HEAD – Genève (Haute école d'art et de design) in Geneva.
