Ron Howard
Ron Howard is an American filmmaker, actor, and producer. As an actor, he was cast in one of the lead roles in George Lucas’ American Graffiti (1973), and became a household name for playing Richie Cunningham in the sitcom Happy Days (1974–1980). He established himself as a director in the 1980s with films such as Splash (1984), Cocoon (1985), and Willow (1988), before gaining critical recognition in the following decades. He was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Director for Apollo 13 (1995), and won the Academy Award for Best Director and Best Picture for A Beautiful Mind (2001), starring Russel Crowe. He was nominated again in both category for another historical film, Frost/Nixon (2008), cementing his place among the leading directors of the time. In the following years, he continues his collaboration with Tom Hanks (Splash, Apollo 13) with the Robert Langdon's trilogy (The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and Inferno). His films have grossed over $3 billion at the global box office.
