The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

You've seen them all year long as a program complement at the Cinémathèque's Centre d'art et essai. Discover the Capsules d'audace in their long format during a marathon of screenings on June 1 between 1 and 5 pm. Then, catch some of the series' artists as they make the transition from screen to stage at the Cinémathèque's Café-Bar in a 5 à 7 show entitled Le seul sujet au monde, on the theme of film music. On the program: In the Mood for Love, La maison sous les arbres, Bonheur d'occasion and many more.
