Lukas Conway

Lukas Conway is an artist and animator currently living and working in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal. A graduate of Concordia University’s film animation program, Lukas has been active in theatre, improv and the visual arts for the past 15 years. Lukas is interested in animation as experimental both in form and content. His films accent themes of time, scale and mental health. Lukas’ films have screened in North America, Europe and Asia. His 2017 collaboration with Stefan Jaroszonek and Olivier Sommelet, End of Recording, won OIAF's Best Student Animation Award. His short animation Post, took home the Best Documentary Award from the 2020 Yale Student Film Festival. Most recently Lukas directed BANG as part of the National Film Board of Canada’s Hothouse 13 Animation Apprenticeship program. ‘BANG’ premiered at Montreal’s Fantasia Festival taking home the Prix « Créativité » MAtv Montréal 2022.
