Best Boy
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

After the death of their tyrannical, abusive father, three adult children and their elderly mother return to their long-dormant summer home to take part in a bizarre, sadistic competition not done since it tore the family apart 30 years before.

Jesse Noah Klein
Jesse Noah Klein is a filmmaker from Montréal. His film We’re Still Together (2016) had its world premiere in competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and went on to win two ACTRA awards as well as a nominations at the Québec Cinéma Gala for the performances of its two leading actors. His follow-up Like a House on Fire (2020) premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and received a nomination at the Québec Cinéma Gala for Best Actress.
