Érik Canuel
Érik Canuel is a Québécois filmmaker and screenwriter. Born in Montreal, he is the son of actor Yvan Canuel and actress Lucille Papineau. A true movie buff accross all genre, he is interested in films that innovate and push the boundaries of cinema. He is also a huge comic book fan, with a particular affection for the worlds of Frank Miller and Neil Gaiman. In 2006, he shattered all records with the bilingual action comedy Bon Cop, Bad Cop, which grossed $12 million at the Canadien box office, including more than $9 million in Quebec — an unprecedented feat. The film became the biggest commercial success in the history of Quebec cinema.
