In a reimagined coming-of-age story, Damascus Dreams follows a filmmaker’s journey to her inaccessible homeland. Weaving together her father’s memory, stories of refugees and her own imagination, Emilie composes a Syria that stands somewhere between reality and myth, dream and nightmare, past and present.
