Synopsis

Félicité is a proud, free-willed woman working as a singer in a bar in Kinshasa. Her life is thrown into turmoil when her 14-yearold son falls victim to an accident. To save him, she sets out on a breakneck race through the streets of electric Kinshasa – a world of music and dreams where she’ll cross paths with Tabu.

Félicité, une leçon de cinéma

La force de Félicité tient dans sa cohérence entre son esthétique et la vision qu’il propose. Même s’il y a action (Félicité essaye par tous les moyens de trouver l’argent nécessaire pour l’opération chirurgicale de son fils), le film ne s’y résout pas. Au contraire, il amène un grand basculement pour la délaisser et développer une idée simple : bâtir sa vie sur ce qu’on est, dans la dignité des gens francs, malgré les blessures...
