Inside Daisy Clover
It’s hard to imagine a Hollywood actor who better fits the accepted definition of a leading man, then that of a star, for decades. But there is the other Redford: the demanding director, the visionary, festival founder, and humanist. We pay equal tribute to both.
In 1930s Los Angeles, Daisy Clover, who comes from a modest background, is spotted by a producer. Her dream of becoming a movie star could finally come true. But she enters a world that is far less wonderful than it appears from the outside and that forces her to become inauthentic. Nothing compatible with the exuberance of 15-year-old Daisy.
