An Arab family, formed by Amal, Omar and their son Ahmad, live a peaceful life in Germany until the day a man named Franz assaults and insults Amal for wearing a headscarf. Legal action is taken against the man, and during the hearings, an unfortunate event completely changes the family's life.

Erol Afsin
Erol Afsin is an actor, writer, director, and producer, known for It’s Burning (2023), Homeland (2011), Saf (2018), and Mustang (2015). He was born in Adana, Turkey, and moved to Germany at 19 to pursue acting. After studying at a German state acting school, he performed in theater and films in many countries, including Palestine. He stands out as a Folkwang University graduate who completed a screenplay. His directorial debut, The Way (2015), explores religious themes. Erol Afsin gained recognition for acting in films presented at major festivals like the Cannes Film Festival and TIFF. In 2023, he made his first feature film It’s Burning, which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film premiered at Filmfest München.
