Back in his native land of Thessaly after a long journey, intrepid explorer and sailor Jason is determined to regain his throne. But to do so, he must conquer the magical Golden Fleece.

Don Chaffey
Don Chaffey was a British film director, screenwriter, producer, and art director. He made his directorial debut in 1953, specializing in fantasy, adventure, and peplum films. His greatest success remains Jason and the Argonauts (1963), with special effects by Ray Harryhausen. In the 1960s, he notably collaborated with Hammer Films on One Million Years B.C. (1966) and The Viking Queen (1967), before turning toward children's films, working with Disney on The Three Lives of Thomasina (1963) and Pete’s Dragon (1977). Alongside his theatrical work, Chaffey also directed episodes of numerous British and American television series, including Danger Man, The Avengers, The Prisoner, MacGyver, and Charlie's Angels.
