Metronom
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

Romania, the autumn of the year 1972. Ana, a 17 year-old teenager, finds out that her boyfriend will flee the country for good in a few days. The two lovers decide to spend their last days together.
Alexandru Belc
Alexandru Belc is a Romanian director and screenwriter known for Metronom (2022), Cinema, mon amour (2015) and 8 Martie (2012). Metronom is his first feature film, selected in official competition for Un Certain regard at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 where he won the director's award.
