To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cinémathèque québécoise, we wanted to highlight our long-term collaboration with the Goethe-Institut. The diffusion of German cinema within our walls has often been set up in collaboration with this cultural organization. This has led to the donation of many films from their collections, which are featured in this program.
Eva wants to meet Quick, a famous clown she's fallen madly in love with by attending his performances. Aware of Eva's love and not indifferent to it, Quick poses as the show's director when he finally meets Eva after a performance.

Robert Siodmak
Robert Siodmak was a German film director who also worked in the United States. He is best remembered as a thriller specialist and for a series of films noir he made in the 1940s, such as The Killers (1946).
