Synopsis

Jezabel, an empowered young woman, has just been left by her partner. She takes Ariel, a reserved and innocent boy, on a wild night of discoveries in the nocturnal and erotic Paris of the 80s. A true immersion in its era.

Virginie Thévenet

Virginie Thévenet is a French actress and filmmaker. As an actress, she has worked under the direction of filmmakers such as Moshé Mizrahi, Pascal Thomas, François Truffaut, Jean Eustache, James Ivory, Éric Rohmer, Claude Chabrol, and Olivier Assayas. As a director, she made several films, including The Night Wears Suspenders (La nuit porte jarretelles, 1985), which was nominated for a César Award and screened in the Panorama section at the Cannes Film Festival, and Jeux d’artifices (1987), which was notably featured at the Berlinale. She is also a painter and illustrator, having worked for the Centre Georges Pompidou and various magazines. Thévenet created photo-novel interviews for Cahiers du Cinéma, Rock & Folk, and Égoïste, honing her filmmaking skills. Additionally, she designed posters, notably for Éric Rohmer's Perceval, and her illustrations are featured in François Truffaut's Love on the Run.
