Opening Film, 2026 International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA)
“Making documentaries means accepting that life flows through the film”. In this daringly intimate documentary, André-Line Beauparlant turns her camera towards the life and work of her lover, filmmaker Robert Morin. Through a collage of film excerpts, archival footage, recorded discussions, and personal photographs, she reveals the ins and outs and the highs and lows of their collaboration on, off, and behind the screen. Tracing a double biography that contemplates love, obsession, death, and the passage of time, This Love, These Days is a love letter, a journal of everyday life, and a resolutely feminist proposition: to imagine artmaking as a coming together.
