You Are Not Alone
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

Leo, a lonely, anxious pizza delivery guy, stumbles upon John, a mysterious taxi driver seeking lonesome souls. This unusual encounter throws the young man into a dizzying delirium, disrupting his blossoming romance with Rita. As the leaves start falling from the trees, days are getting shorter, and the cold is settling in... Luckily, the first flames of love warm Leo’s heart. But beware: if you play with fire, you might get burned.
Marie-Hélène Viens & Philippe Lupien
Marie-Helene Viens and Philippe Lupien have been collaborating for many years. Their short films Bernard The Great (2013), Amen (2016) and We Are The Freak Show (2017) were selected in close to a hundred festivals, won over a dozen awards, and were sold around the world. Their debut feature, You Are Not Alone, is a project they have been carrying since their beginnings. It will be released in the fall of 2024. Marie-Helene is currently writing a second feature based on a story by the duo, a musical entitled Zipper. They are also in active development on their next film and TV projects.
