Diane Keaton, Movie Star

January 31st, 2026

Diane Keaton, who passed away on October 11, freely embodied a certain idea of American cinema, one characterized by variety and generosity. After working with Coppola (The Godfather), she excelled in comedy and burlesque thanks to her collaboration with Woody Allen. She went on to display an extraordinary range, knowing how to balance earthiness and finesse, proving herself equally at ease in family comedies and risky works (think Looking for Mr. Goodbar). With her luminous vitality, sometimes funny, sometimes offbeat, she lit up the screen while giving the impression of remaining the everyday person you might bump into on the street. We pay tribute to her by screening Warren Beatty's epic historical drama Reds, about the Russian Revolution of 1917.
