Leave No Trace
The dynamism and diversity of contemporary American film production is based on the emergence of singular voices, and in particular that of women, who in recent years have succeeded in imposing themselves in greater numbers in the industry. This cycle will highlight the talent of these women directors through a range of works that breathe new life into their respective genres, from western to horror film, historical reenactment, adaptation, psychological drama and road movie.
Will, an Iraq war veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder, lives withdrawn from the world with Tom, his 13-year-old daughter, in the woods of a park in Portland, Oregon. One day, a small mistake leads them to be detected and taken into care by social services. Will and Tom will not welcome their new life in the same way...

Debra Granik (born February 6, 1963) is an American filmmaker. She is most known for 2010's Winter's Bone, which starred Jennifer Lawrence in her breakout performance and for which Granik was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and 2018's Leave No Trace, a film based on the book My Abandonment by Peter Rock.
