A voluptuous woman of unknown origin combs the highways in search of isolated or forsaken men, luring a succession of lost souls into an otherworldly lair. Based on the novel by Michael Faber, this film examines human experience from the perspective of an unforgettable heroine who grows too comfortable in her borrowed skin, until she is abducted into humanity with devastating results.
Jonathan Glazer
Jonathan Glazer is an English film director and screenwriter. He began his career in theatre before transitioning into film. His work is defined by depictions of flawed and desperate characters; themes such as alienation and loneliness; and a bold visual style that utilises an omniscient perspective and dramatic music. He has been nominated for six BAFTA Awards and two Academy Awards. For the historical drama The Zone of Interest (2023), he won both the Grand Prix and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. The film also won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2024. Jonathan Glazer has directed music videos for Radiohead, Massive Attack, Richard Ashcroft and others. He has also directed commercials for Kodak, Sony, and Nike, among others.
