Jean-Marc Vallée (1963-2021)

The loss of director Jean-Marc Vallée at the end of 2021 caused shock waves around the cinephile world. This filmmaker loved by his collaborators and actors, who died as he was overflowing with projects, left a strong impression on many spectators of his films. Carried by C.R.A.Z.Y., one of the most astonishing successes of Quebec-made cinema, he leaves behind a work that is both intimate and popular. His short films Magical Words and Magical Flowers, which have rarely been screened in the past few years, condense several aspects of his upcoming films, as well as showing a young Marc-André Grondin.
