Ayiti Toma, in the Land of the Living
The recurrent cycle Noir.e.s à la caméra allows us to discover works directed or produced by African or Afrodescendant filmmakers throughout the history of cinema.
En présence du réalisateur
At the crossroads of history, anthropology and culture, this feature documentary focuses on Ayiti Toma: that Haiti beyond preconceived notions of imperialism, slavery, natural disasters and humanitarian aid. A cinematographic reflection on its future prospects, thanks to the testimonies of the Ayitians themselves, whether they are specialists, followers of voodoo or young survivors of a neighborhood in Port-au-Prince.
