Nikita Mikhalkov
Nikita Mikhalkov is a Russian filmmaker, actor, and producer known for his critically acclaimed films from the 1970s through the 1990s, during which he earned prestigious awards like an Academy Award, an Honorary Golden Lion, and various prizes at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2002, he established the Golden Eagle Award, to recognize excellence in Russian cinema. His career slowed in the early 2000s while he led the Union of Russian Cinematographers before eventually stepping down.
