The Five Devils
The mission of the Centre d'art et essai de la Cinémathèque québécoise (CAECQ) is to primary program Quebec-made documentaries and independent fiction, as well as international documentaries, animated and foreign films, while encouraging opportunities for meetings between the public and the artists. Its programming is presented in conjunction with the Cinémathèque québécoise’s under the label New releases.

Vicky, a strange and solitary little girl, has a magical gift: she can reproduce any scent she likes, and collects them in a series of carefully labelled jars. She has secretly captured the scent of Joanne, her mother for whom she nurtures a wild, excessive love. When her father’s sister Julia bursts into their life, Vicky reproduces her smell and is transported into dark and archaic memories which lead her to uncover the secrets of her village, her family and her own existence.
Léa Mysius
Léa Mysius is a French director and screenwriter. After studying literature, Léa Mysius attended La Femis and graduated in screenwriting in 2014. She directed three short films selected and awarded in many festivals: Cadavre exquis, Les Oiseaux-tonnerre, selected at the Cinéfondation, and* L'Île jaune* co-directed with Paul Guilhaume. His first feature film, Ava, starring actresses Noée Abita and Laure Calamy, was launched at Critics' Week during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, released in theaters in the same period, and received a favorable critical reception. It received a 2018 César nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Léa Mysius co-wrote the screenplay for Arnaud Desplechin's film, "Les Fantômes d'Ismaël". In 2018, she collaborated again with the director for the screenplay of Roubaix, une lumière.
